These Terms and Conditions set out the terms of use for users of the HSE
Research Projects Directory.
Terms of use
Please read these user terms and conditions carefully. They set out the terms
under which we provide the advanced Registered User features of the HSE
Research Projects Directory to you. By accessing the HSE Research Projects
Directory Registered User features you agree to be bound by these user terms
and conditions.

HSE takes the security of users information extremely seriously. We have an
active anti-Spam policy to prevent you from receiving unsolicited commercial

Registration

If we believe that you have provided false information we reserve the right to
terminate your participation in the advanced Registered User features of the

Our Obligations to You

any other party or you or any infringement of another's rights, including
intellectual property rights.
We do not exclude any liability for death or personal injury caused through our
negligence.
Your Obligation to Us
You agree that you will only use the HSE Research Projects Directory in a manner
that is consistent with these user terms and conditions and in such a way as to
ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. In particular: You

You will not forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to
disguise the origin of any information transmitted through the HSE Research

not have a right to transmit under any law or contractual or fiduciary
relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential
information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under

advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam", "chain letters",
"pyramid schemes" or any form of solicitation;

You will not knowingly post, email or otherwise transmit any material that
contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs
designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer
software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.

support@webcommunities.hse.gov.uk, of any material contained in the HSE
Research Projects Directory that you believe infringes this rule;

You will not interfere with or disrupt the HSE Research Projects Directory or
servers or networks connected to the HSE Research Projects Directory, or
disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks
connected to the the HSE Research Projects Directory;

You will not "stalk" or otherwise harass any person; and

You will not collect or store personal information about other users whether or
not for commercial purposes, without their consent.
To the extent to which your use, or the use by any person who may be authorised
by you or for whom you are responsible (for example, as the parent or guardian
of a child or otherwise under these user terms and conditions) causes loss,
damage or expense to any person (including us), you agree to indemnify HSE, any
HSE employee and HSE's sub-contractors from and against any liability for such
losses, damages and expenses.
Where applicable, you are responsible for maintaining the full and total
confidentiality of your username and password chosen by you on registration. As
a result, you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under them.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use to which you become
aware.
You are responsible for obtaining the equipment and paying all telephone charges
necessary to access and use the HSE Research Projects Directory. You are also
responsible for making your own back-up arrangements of any important data that
you place on the HSE Research Projects Directory as although we maintain
back-up facilities for data on the HSE Research Projects Directory, we cannot
guarantee that these facilities are fail safe.

relation to copyright, trade and service marks or other intellectual property

distribution of information that you submit to the service. Information you
submit will be displayed on the service and can be printed out and distributed

Our agreement with you, set out in these user terms and conditions is governed
by English law and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the
English Courts.
Any notice sent to us should be sent by email to
support@webcommunities.hse.gov.uk unless otherwise provided in these
user terms and conditions.
Privacy Policy
The HSE Research Projects Directory takes the security of our users' information
extremely seriously. We have an active anti-Spam policy to prevent you from
receiving unsolicited commercial email. Any users found to be sending Spam to
the HSE Research Projects Directory will be removed from the system and barred.
If you have any comments about misuse of the HSE Research Projects Directory

in its treatment of all personal data provided by members. You can edit the

our policies and guidance, and provides us with the ability to seek your
opinion on future initiatives and proposals appropriate to your interests.
Moderation Policy for User Contributions
HSE does not check user contributions to the HSE Research Projects Handbook
before they are published but reserves the right to remove any comments that
breach our Terms and Conditions. Remember that you are fully responsible for
what you write.
